Be that as sit may, I have a few projects lined up for this year, including a couple of comforters to make. Then I decided I would like to make one for a friend for her birthday in August - yep, plenty of time. I tried looking for some patchwork quilt patterns I have safely away, but obviously they are too safely away - I can't find them. Ah well, I did find though a packet with lots of 5 inch squares (150) and 4 1/2 inch triangles (115) that I had been given some time ago, and thought perhaps I could use them up.
As you can see from the photo there is quite a number of different colour combinations, so I got down on the floor (that's the easy part) and set them all out to see what I could come up with. Well it has taken me about three days to set them out in a way that I am happy with them, and now the time comes to stitch them together - photo later.
For now though, the sewing machine beckons .....
