Last weekend we had a day out that was covered in beautiful sunshine. We left the coast north of Brisbane and headed up to Montville in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, for the annual Blackall Range Woodcrafters Guild Expo.
Our day began with a visit to the Woodcrafters and Peter buying several pieces of timber for a few new projects. There were displays of activities there including how they slice a tree log up into various thicknesses for varied projects.
I was very taken these tea light candle holders.
After leaving there, we headed into Montville itself to have a look around and get a coffee etc. Has become quite a 'yuppy' place these days with mostly cafes, restaurants and shops for the up market people. However we had a lovely time and well within budget too!
Time to head for home, but first another visit to the Woodcrafters for another piece of timber that Peter had seen. Poor car seem loaded down with wood. Hopefully Peter will make some lovely pieces with it all.
And for me ...... back into my 'she shed' (craft room) and doing more stitching on my Christmas projects.
'Til next time, look after yourselves and take care,
June
