Catch Up Time

It has been a while since I lasted posted on here, and my sewing room has not been frequented as much as I would have liked. So I shall now bring you up to date with what's been
happening.

First off I took an absolutely  fantastic 'day trip' mid February by flying from our home state capital down to Antarctica - yes, you read that right. It was a very long day with around 14 hours in the air and over 12,000 kms covered. There really are no words in the English language that can adequately describe the day - awesome just doesn't do it justice, but it will have to do.

I did manage to fit in some sewing though, and have made a couple of wheel covers for our caravan to protect the tyres/wheels from the hot sun whilst it is parked up - quite pleased with my efforts, even the guys at the place where we took them to get the 'snaps' put on them were impressed.

And of course I have been doing a bit my to the comforter I am making for Jean. I have added the border and hand stitched a label to put on the back of it.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I had gone on a day trip to visit Amberley Air Force Base
with our local Vietnam Veterans group - a most enjoyable day too. The following photo is all of us standing out the front of a C-170 Globemaster transport plane.

Think that might just about bring you up to date for now. It will be the Easter long weekend this weekend, and I plan to spend quite a bit of it in my sewing room, so for now,

Take care ......
