Time to Re-boot

I cannot believe that it is now half way through the second month of 2023 - so help me I do not know where the time has gone. Aside from Covid affecting everywhere and everyone over the last few years, I have had a rather challenging time that has really knocked the stuffing out of me - so to speak.

Anyway, enough of that, this year I have decided to pick myself up, dust myself off, and move forward - no looking back.

To begin with I had a BIG clean out of my craft cave and off loaded projects that have been hanging around for years, and have begun a couple of new projects, yes just two for this year. Having said that amongst my clean up I came across a couple of cross stitch projects I have been meaning to do and decided that they would definitely be being completed.

The first one is a cross-stitch I did for my friend Karen (from Karen's Korner) and her husband for their 50th wedding anniversary. I also got them a lovely set of stemless champagne flutes to go with the cross-stitch.

The other one is being done for hubby, and this is a shameful admission, I have had the pattern for 17 years - think it's about time I got around to doing it, don't you?

Just to add to the challenge, I am changing quite a few of the colours on it, plus adding a few extra bits and pieces. Peter is working with me on this re: the colours - as he said they did not wear the brown clothing but 'greens' for in the jungles of Vietnam. I also was not happy with the colour of the face - the soldier looked as if he had jaundice. Still a fair way to go on this one but am quite pleased with my progress.

Hopefully this is the beginning of getting my sewing mojo back in place.

For now though,

Take care and look after yourself
