Christmas is Around the Corner

We have been home for a few weeks now, and that means I could get into my sewing room and begin a couple of projects I have in mind for Christmas.

To begin with I decided to stitch a 'Snowflake Angel' - a kit from Bucilla with lots of silver, sequins and pearls.

However, me being me, I decided to added a strand of 'ice gold' DMC thread to enhance the stitching on the skirt. It also has seed pearls on it too.

Now to continue on with it and hopefully I shall have it finished by Christmas - I am really surprised just how much work is involved in this kit.

I also decided to create a new coffee table runner from vintage red lace and other red fabrics.

As usual, I did not do it as per the kit, but feel I like this look better, AND I have finished it already. Yay, now to continue on with the angel. This is where the angel will sit come Christmas.

For now though, it is time to head back to the sewing room to continuing with my stitching.

Take care, and look after yourself,

June
