More Mini Quilts

The last half hour has been frustration personified! I have been trying to get onto my blog here to add a new post - all to no avail, however, just now the laptop and internet connection have aligned and I am off and running.

Our visit to Canberra came to a close three weeks ago and both Pete & I am finally rid of the flu we caught whilst down there. Which meant I could get on and put together the blocks for the next lot of mini quilts that I had been working on (the hand-stitching) whilst in Canberra.

The borders were chosen for each block and stitched into place.

Next came stitching the blocks together and adding the thin wadding before completing the making up of the four block panel.

As you can see, you put them together two by two, then put the wadding on and the second two by two on top, and stitch around before turning right side out.

Now that it is pressed, it is ready to hang on it's little stand.

Finally I have this done, but not without more frustration to download the photos etc. it has taken me the best part of two hours all up.  you see this last week we set off (again) to join some friends on a fishing trip around 50 kms from Kingaroy in the South Burnett region of Queensland at Bjelke Petersen Dam, and the internet reception up here is nothing short of woeful, but we are surviving and enjoying our time here - there will be more about our time here and what we will be getting up to next time, but in the meantime .........

Do more of what makes you happy!

'Til next time.
